Dr. Juan Burdeniuc is a Senior Research Principal and Fellow Member at Evonik Corporation. After studying chemistry in Argentina and Israel, Juan Burdeniuc completed his doctorate at Yale University. Starting at Air Products in 1996, he initially developed innovative processes that minimize waste in chemical processes, reduce CO2 emissions, and remove heavy metals from finished products. Today, Juan leads the development of amine and catalyst products in Evonik's Comfort & Insulation business unit. Juan is currently working on complex and environmentally friendly solutions in the field of polyurethanes. His focus is on amine catalysis, crosslinkers, performance additives, and new applications. His work has led to more than 80 granted US patents covering more than 40 products and processes, including Evonik's DABCO®, POLYCAT® and ORTEGOL® products.
