Events

 This visit was coordinated with Evonik through Lehigh’s Corporate and Foundation Relations team and the Institute for Functional Materials and Devices (I-FMD). It represented an opportunity to strengthen the Lehigh/Evonik relationship further.

The event started with a welcome to Evonik from Dr. Jean Vincent, Head of RD&I at the Allentown facilities, and an introduction to Lehigh from Provost Nathan Urban. Both Dr. Vincent and Dr. Urban emphasized the importance of industry-university collaborations to advance innovation and the mutual desire between Evonk and Lehigh to foster such collaborations. As part of the visit, Lehigh I-FMD faculty and graduate students presented eight research overview posters highlighting their diverse research interests and capabilities to the over 30 Evonik research staff in attendance. The visit ended with a tour of the Allentown facilities and Innovation Hub for the Lehigh attendees.
